Despite a continuing storm and conflicting reports on the huge Chinese-funded Colombo Port City project, work on it was proceeding apace behind barbed wire barricades yesterday. Govt. spokesman Rajitha Senaratne said on Friday the Cabinet had decided to go ahead with this controversial project, but Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera said the Cabinet had taken no such decision and the project was being reviewed.
