Kithsiri is also the Joint Secretary of the Ceylon Bird Club as well as the Joint Editor of its monthly journal, the Ceylon Bird Club Notes. In May 2009, with peace returning to the country he started to visit Wilpattu National Park regularly to photograph/document the many species of fauna and flora that are found in the park. His study of the park includes identifying individual leopards based on their spot/rosette patterns and keeping records of the locations of their sightings.
His presentation will include his ongoing study of the leopards of Wilpattu as well as interesting flora and fauna recorded from the park such as wild flowers and wild orchids.
All are welcome.
