Ashan, Madura slam tons as Navy SC make 498
Centuries by Ashan Ranasinghe and Madura Madusanka helped Navy SC to gain the upper hand against Kurunegala YCC on day two in their SLC Emerging Trophy cricket encounter played at Welagedera Stadium in Kurunegala yesterday.
Ashan slammed 168 inclusive of 11 boundaries and three sixes while Madura cracked 112 with nine boundaries and five sixes enabling Navy SC make a mammoth score of 498. Kurunegala YCC in their turn ended the second day by making 290 for 9.
At Panadura Buddhi Samarawickrama cracked 113 enabling Police SC make a bold reply of 260 for 6 in reply to Panadura SC’s 284 which came on the back of a knock of 113 by Mohamed Shilmi.
