Aitken Spence Logistics enhances operations with successful deployment of Oracle Warehouse Management
View(s):Aitken Spence Logistics, a local logistics and freight forwarder and part of the Aitken Spence Group, has successfully deployed Oracle Warehouse Management including third-party billing for Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
This deployment, which integrated with their Oracle E-Business Suite, has enabled them to adapt readily to their changing billing requirements, and enhance their customer satisfaction by providing custom solutions. In addition, they provide their management with accurate financial status of the organisation, according to an Oracle media release
Prior to the deployment of these modules, the siloed legacy system for the LSP operation made it tedious to cater to their rapidly changing needs such as new billing methods and changes in taxes. Furthermore the system was running on hardware and software reaching the end of life.
The new deployment enables the system to easily cater to changing needs of Aitken Spence Logistics, increasing the customer satisfaction and retention.
“With implementation of Oracle Warehouse Management, we are experiencing a significant change that has enabled us to grow while improving operational excellence and customer services,” said Sharmilal Anthony, Assistant Vice President, Aitken Spence Logistics. “The Aitken Spence group has been using Oracle solutions for almost two decades so we are aware of the power of Oracle and its the best of breed solutions, and we are sure that by replacing our legacy system with Oracle Warehouse Management, we would continue to get excellent support from Oracle which we were not getting from other vendors.”
