MICH’s Fazil emerges champion
MICH’s M.F.M. Fazil emerged the Under 21 snooker national champion when he defeated M.S.M. Rasheed of MSC by three frames to one in the five frame final played at the Moors SC billiards table in Braybrooke Place.
The champion having conceded the first frame came back to record wins in the second, third and fourth frames with ease which ensured him the title. Earlier in the two semi-finals Fazil got the better of his club mate M. Shamil while Rasheed overcame M. Rikaz of MICH. Shamil overcame Rikaz in the third place play off by two frames to one.

Semi-finals: M.F.M. Fazil (MICH) beat M. Shamil (MICH) 3-1 (72/25, 58/55, 35/60, 73/35); M.S.M. Rasheed (MSC) beat M. Rikaz (MICH) 3-0 (59/38, 72/22, 48/44).
Final: M.F.M. Fazil (MICH) beat M.S.M. Rasheed (MSC) 3-1 (34/45, 49/32, 62/33, 56/28).
Third-place playoff: M. Shamil (MICH) beat M. Rikaz (MICH) 2-0 165/13, 37/53, 55/42).
