National Trust lecture: Churches of Sri Lanka
View(s):‘Churches of Sri Lanka’ will be the theme for the 71st session of the monthly lecture series of the National Trust – Sri Lanka at the HNB Auditorium, 22nd Floor, HNB Towers, 479 T.B. Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10 at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26. The lecture will be delivered by Archt. Sagara Jayasinghe
The lecture will be about the creation and emerged typologies of churches built during the Portuguese occupation in Sri Lanka in the 16th and 17th centuries and also highlight the architecture of the historic church built in Portugal by a Sinhalese prince, Dom Joao of Kandy.
