View(s):A journey by train
As dusk fell, the Chennai-Mumbai express left on its 24 hour journey of 1282km taking us through Tamil Nadu,
Andra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra, halting at 50 stations each with its own charm. Leaving bridges and buildings, we sped through sleepy hamlets and fields, stopping at bustling stations with mouthwatering South Indian delicacies, hot milk and coffee.
Although the rhythm of the train lulled us to sleep, we were wide awake to witness a splendid sunrise. We tucked into delicious piping hot Dosas, Rotis and Appams of Andra Pradesh and spicy potato wadais of Karnataka. Through the Western Ghats into the Deccan we journeyed.
Speeding through Maharashtra, lunch was a ‘Thali’ experience. Around a mound of snowy fragrant rice on a large silver plate, were bowls with an array of curries. Pune’s misty mountains, waterfalls, tunnels and mischievous chimpanzees, amazed and entertained us. At the highest point, Lonavala, we feasted on nature’s beauty and enjoyed a singsong with students on excursion.
Soon, gathering speed and blasting through Dadar Station with a piercing whistle, we arrived at Bombay’s Central Station to Uncle Ben and his family’s warm welcome. Yes! I love train journeys.

The person I admire the most in my life
The person I admire most in my life is my mother. A mother is a gift for every child. Mother is very important to us. She gives birth to us and looks after us as best she can. She cooks tasty food for us to make us healthy. A mother is just like a living
goddess. She always guides us in the right path in every step of our lives. She spends sleepless nights when we are sick. She teaches us discipline and the sense of duty towards others in the family and in the society.
I have been greatly influenced by my mother. We should respect our mothers.

Soccer
Soccer, more commonly known as football is a very interesting game played by two teams including 11 players, excluding the
substitutes. They play with a spherical ball. It is played by
250 million players in over 200 countries and that makes this game the world’s most popular sport. The game is played on a
rectangular field with a goal at each end. There should be one
referee inside the field and two others outside. The goalkeepers are the only players who can catch the balls with their arms or hands inside a specific area.
The FIFA hosts the Football World Cup every year.
The World Cup was held a year back and Germany won and Argentina was the Runners-Up. My favourite player is Neymar Jr.

Tomorrow is Ours
Young kids are like the shining stars in the sky. If those stars don’t exist in the night, darkness will conquer the world. So just as that, a world without kids is a world of darkness. According to that we all expect for the future of the world to be bright, filled with stars.
So I, who write this essay am a star which shines and continues to shine more brightly in the future. Once the adult population decreases, the young population at the moment has the responsibility to come forward and shine bright like a star.
If not this world will not be so pleasant.
So to face this situation, all the students my age should be ready by doing our studies well and as perfectly as possible in order to give rise to future doctors, nurses, engineers and even pilots. And also we should be well disciplined students who respect elders, teachers and all the citizens of this world. So we should keep these things in mind because Tomorrow is Ours.

Cruelty towards animals
Animals provide us different things. So we have to be kind to them. In the world most people are unkind to animals. Only few in the world are loving animals. Now in the wild lots of animals are going extinct.
So we have to stop the unkindness to animals, so the animals will not die to extinction. We have to be kind to every animal. They help us in many ways. Animals like the giant monkey belong only to our motherland Sri Lanka.
I am kind to animals. I like them very much. We can learn something from them. Animals are a great gift from nature. Animals are like best friends. So don’t hurt them.
