Lumbini MV win inaugural big match
Lumbini MV came out victorious by nine wickets against Bandaranayake MMV Gampaha in the inaugural ‘Battle of the Blue and Green’ big match which ended at the Colts ground yesterday.
The foundation for the win was laid by Thanuka Dabare whose four wicket haul helped Lumbini MV to bowl out their opponents for a low score of 130. Later Mohamed Akram cracked an unbeaten half ton as Lumbini MV declared their innings on 171 for 6. Bandaranayake MMV batting the second time fared no better and was bundled out for a paltry 89 leaving Lumbini MV just 44 runs for victory which they reached in 8.2 overs.
