Sameera and Gayani win road races
The road races of the Southern Province Sports Festival took place on the access road towards the Southern Expressway between Galle and Pinnaduwa with P.H. Sameera and P.B. Gayani winning the Men’s and Women’s championships respectively. Sameera representing the Galle District was followed by M.D. Sampath and S. Chathuranga, both from Matara District. Gayani, who represented Matara District, was followed by Galle District runners-up P.H. Dinusha and W.H. Lakshmi, who finished at second and third respectively.
