PrivyText app promises ‘instant cash reward’ to promo viewers
View(s):An Android and iOS app, introduced by Sri Lankan developer PrivyText, is promising an “instant cash reward” to viewers of its promotional offers, according to a statement by the company.
It said, “the customer receives an alert when he/she is in the vicinity of the merchant. The app has been designed to target the retail sector and its special offers to customers… A unique instant cash reward for first viewing of any advert or promo on the PrivyText app is provided to each user without any obligation to purchase”.
Elaborating further, the statement also noted, “The PrivyText app is free to download from the Apple iStore or GooglePlay. Once the customer registers him/herself with a unique mobile number irrespective of the carrier, mobile alerts or notifications will be received to the mobile when the user is in the vicinity of a retailer together with an attractively designed visual promo offer. PrivyText provides the flexibility to the retailer to design the promo including deciding upon key parameters of the location based mobile marketing campaign. PrivyText will charge the retailer only for the number of PrivyText customers that the promo message has been delivered to”. Additionally, the statement also quoted the app’s conceptualiser, Sri Lankan-born entrepreneur Ruban Nirmalan, who is now based in the US, as stating: “The unique PrivyText mobile app is user friendly and keeps customers updated with new offers and retail trends making their life easy, interesting and well-informed. PrivyText is also a good marketing tool for merchants to promote their product or service… We will be launching this app in the United States soon together with additional features such as payment and money transfer features”.
