Hiru TV/FM bags key awards
View(s):Popualr ‘Hiru TV’ and Hiru FM reiterated their dominance in the electronic media field when they bagged five key awards at the recent SLIM People’s Award ceremony.
Hiru TV and Hiru Radio clinched the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Award for the ‘TV channel of the year’ and ‘radio channel of the year’ while wrapping up the awards list with ‘youth channel of the year’ (Hiru Radio) and joint awards for ‘news provider of the year’ and ‘Youth TV channel of the year’ (Hiru TV).
ABC Media Network Chairman Rayynor Silva said he was delighted about this achievement and reiterated that this triumph has only underlined the fact that his media vision has been acknowledged by the people of this country. He also paid a glowing tribute to the channels’ viewers and listeners who were the real winners of these accomplishments.
