Royal drown Rajans at Bogambara
Royal beat Dharmaraja by 17-5 after leading 7-5 at halftime in a gruelling Singer Schools Under-20 Division I ‘A’ rugby game played at the Bogambara stadium in Kandy yesterday. Royal scored from two converted tries and a penalty against an unconverted try by the Rajans.
Five minutes after the first whistle Royal skipper Bhanuka Gamage went through the Rajans’ defence to score the first try for the visitors while fly-half Ayendra Subasinghe added extra points.
