findmyfare.com ‘revolutionising the workplace’
View(s):Sri Lankan travel site findmyfare.com has revealed that it is “revolutionising the workplace with an innovative approach to people and management”.
Further, according to a statement, it has noted that one of the ways it is attempting this ‘revolution’ is by offering staff unique benefits such as three free “Hot Deals” travel packages per employee. It also encourages them to “learn something new eachmonth like ballroom dancing, singing or touch rugby”.
Abishek Sithampalam, Director at findmyfare.com, was quoted as saying, “At findmyfare.com, we try to create a work culture that is conducive to fun and learning and we also do our best to take care of our team. We have also taken additional measures to provide employees with ample benefits that support their work. At present, standard benefits include pay levels that are above the industry norms, staff transport and food allowances. Because we are in the business of selling travel experiences, it’s also extremely important for our team to constantly discover the world and travel on a regular basis. Therefore we also provide each employee with three free ‘Hot Deals’, which enable them to make full use of our special packages to incredible destinations at no cost”.
The statement also quotes Kalana Perera, aged 20-years-old, a Trainee UI Designer on the website, as commenting, “I continuously work on the development of the findmyfare.com website and our user interface. I learnt everything about web programming from self-study and will soon be starting my degree at SLIIT. I love working here because we have the space to do our work in whatever way we want, our management is friendly and open to our ideas and the rest of the team have become like my brothers and sisters.
