Catamarans in two wins
View(s):Catamarans Sport Club, Moratuwa registered two victories in the ongoing Colombo District Cricket Association Division III cricket tournament.
They beat New Blues SC by four wickets before routing Kollupitiya SC by a huge margin of 360 runs after posting 411 runs on the scoreboard in 50 overs.
In their first match against New Blues, captain Trio Fernando and Avishka Gunawardena scored 67 and 55 runs respectively. Also against Kollupitiya SC, for Catamarans’ giant total contributions came from Malindu Perera (108), Gihan Hondamunige (63) and Dulip Silva (79).
Suranga Fernando, Manjula Bandara, Praneeth Dias and Nuwan Pieris took wickets for Catamarans SC, in both matches.
