Still throwing the book at him
View(s):The Central Bank’s new Governor, Arjuna Mahendran – still at the centre of a major controversy over a Treasury Bond issue and thus seldom seen at public events – was captured by our photojournalist at a book launch on Friday at the Barefoot Gallery. Mr. Mahendran whose conduct had been probed by a three-member panel was cleared of direct responsibility for any wrongdoing in the bond issue, but opposition parties are still calling for his resignation.
