5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament set to tee off in June
View(s):The traditional 5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament, hosted by HSBC at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) will be held on June 12 and 14. The 
popular tournament will begin with the Ladies and Seniors teeing off in the afternoon on 12 June, while the Men’s A B and C divisions will tee off with a shot-gun start at 7.15am on June 14.
The 5 Club Stableford Tournament reaching its twentieth year will be open to HSBC’s valued customers and to all members of the Royal Colombo Golf Club with a valid handicap. Registrations for entries will be open from 12 noon on May 30 until June 6 at the Club.
The tournament is expected to see a large contingent of golfers participating on both days, competing for the overall HSBC 5-Club Challenge Trophy which was previously won by Rohan Fernando with a score of 43 Stableford points.
The first Stableford Golf Tournament was sponsored by HSBC with a shot-gun start in 1994 and was subsequently changed to a 5-Club Tournament in 1998.
The tournament will conclude with an awards ceremony at 1.15pm held at the RCGC Club House, followed by a traditional fellowship lunch for all participants on June 14.
