SriLankan Airlines opens ticketing office in Anuradhapura
View(s):SriLankan Airlines expands its presence in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka by opening its latest passenger sales office in Anuradhapura in a bid to capture a larger share of the local travel market. The office was declared open on May 20th, 2015 by Chief Minister North Central Province, Peshala Jayaratne.
The branch office will facilitate travel procedures to a large clientele in the Anuradhapura district, which includes handling of reservations, ticketing, Prepaid Ticket Advices (PTAs), requests for special services, , information on fares, and packages – essentially offering the same sales services carried out by any authorised SriLankan Airlines office.
This is the ninth SriLankan Passenger Sales office to be added to its network of regional offices, currently established at Jaffna, Hambantota, Vavuniya, Wennappuwa, Gampaha, Trincomalee, Aluthgama and Batticaloa.
SriLankan has appointed Travel Care Global (Pvt) Ltd, which is specialized in handling Buddhist Pilgrim Tours to India, to handle airline ticketing , reservations, outbound holidays and inbound tour programmes.
Addressing the gathering, SriLankan Airlines Head of Worldwide Sales, Mr. Lal Perera said, “As the national carrier, SriLankan strives to make its products and services readily available throughout our island. The strategic positioning of our new ticketing office in Anuradhapura is an important distribution channel that offers seamless services, reaching more potential customers and thereby increasing our overall business. This will undoubtedly be a profitable market for us.”
