Rashmika grabs first hat-trick of the tournament
Trinity’s left arm pacie Rashmika Dilshan had the honour of taking the first hat-trick in the ongoing Under 17 Division One cricket tournament which he achieved against Kegalu MV in the match played at Asgiriya.
Rashmika who ended with impressive figures of 7 for 29 helped his side record a massive 199 run victory after Shevon Percival and Poorna Wanasekera cracked unbeaten knocks of 103 and 64 respectively which laid the foundation for Trinity’s win.
Trinity taking first lease of the wicket posted a formidable score of 259 for 5 and then bundled out their opponents for a meager score of just 60 runs.

win over Joes
A good allround performance by Sawan Kankanamge helped St. Anthony’s Wattala stun St. Joseph’s College and record an emphatic six wicket victory in a All island Under 17 division one game played at Darley Road
Winning the toss and batting first the Josephians slumped to 48 for 4 and were rescued through a fighting fifth wicket partnership of 75 runs between Deneth Madurawela (50) and Jehan Fernandopulle (25).They were eventually bowled out for 152 in the 43rd over with off spinner Kankanamge claiming 4 for 12 and well supported by Dillon Ramanathan (4/32) and Arinda Kankanamge (2/9)
In reply the Antonians at one stage were 78 for 3 wickets but steadied their run chase with a sensible unbroken fifth wicket partnership of 77 runs between Shalith Fernando (40 n o) and Sawan Kankanamge (44 n o ). The visitors reached their target in the 37th over to record their second successive win in the tournament.
