Master cagers at work
View(s):The Masters Basketball Sri Lanka 2nd Schools Old Boys and Old Girls Basketball Championships 2015 got underway yesterday at the MCA Basketball Courts. The league stage of this tournament comprising of 30 matches will go on till July.
The Men’s Tournament will be conducted in three categories: Over-35, O-40 and O-50 while the Women’s will be O-28 and O-35.
Men’s League Over-35 (10 teams in two groups):
Group ‘A’: Old Devens (2014 runners-up), Old Peterites, Old Josephians, Old Sokians and Old Sebastianites.
Group ‘B’: Old Antonians, Wattala (2014 Winner), Old Senanayakians, Old Bens, Colombo International School Old Boys and Old Christonians.
(B) Men’s League Over-40 (3 teams Single League):
Old Royalists, Old Sokians and Old Sebastianites.
(C) Mens League Over-50 (3 teams /Single League):
Old Sokians, Old Pathanians and Old Peterites.
(D) Women’s League Over-28 (3 teams/Single League):
Old Presbyterians, Old Familians, Kurunegala and Old Josephians, Nugegoda.
(E) Women’s Over 35: Our Lady of Victories, Moratuwa and Holy Family Convent Colombo.
Two of the finals are scheduled as follows: Women’s O-35 on July 4 at 7.00pm; Men’s O-50 on July 5 at 7.00pm. The main three finals will be played on July 11 as follows (Venues to be notified): Mens O-40 at 4.00pm, Women’s O-28 at 5.30pm and Men’s O-35 at 6.30pm. – LR
