Austrian Airlines resumes flights in Oct.
View(s):Austrian Airlines which had stopped flights to Colombo some seven years ago is to resume flying in October, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sources said. “We are eagerly looking forward to Austrian Airlines in Colombo in the ensuing winter season starting in September,” a CAA official said. He said that the CAA met Austrian Airlines’ officials during bilateral negotiations last November in Bali and that the negotiations started then.
According to an announcement on the Austrian Airlines website, the once-a-week flight will resume on October 27. The flight from Vienna to Colombo will take about 9 hours and 10 minutes.
