Royal Ceramics expands global footprint into North American Market
View(s):Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC (Rocell) is aiming to expand its global sales footprint with the addition of the North American market. Laying the ground work for the entry, Rocell participated in the prestigious Coverings ’15 exhibition held in Orlando, USA in April.
‘Coverings’ is a premier international trade fair and exhibition, the largest of its kind in North America dedicated exclusively to showcasing the newest in ceramic tile and natural stone. ”The North American market is one of the largest for high quality tiles and bath ware. We have had some interaction with the North American market previously and see a lot of potential in expanding our export business.
The exhibition itself gave us an opportunity to showcase our product line along side some of the best from around the world,” said Director Marketing and Business Development/CEO Rocell Bathware Ltd, Tharana Thoradeniya, in a media release.
The Rocell showcase at the ‘Coverings’ exhibition attracted many foreign clients mainly from Canada, Japan, the UK, and the US.
Mr. Thoradeniya further stated, “This was a very good opportunity for us to observe emerging trends in this market. We identified that there was a prominence for the colour grey. In fact, we feel the colour grey will be trendy and in demand in the years to come. The rustic finish on floor tiles is also gaining attraction and will definitely be the stylish option along with the rectangular shapes”.
