Holy Family Convent Dehiwala ‘Walkathon’
View(s):To mark the 80th anniversary of Holy Family Convent, Dehiwela, the Past Pupils Association together with the cooperation of the Staff and the School Development Society have organised “Walkathon 2015”. The walk will take place on Saturday, June 20, commencing at 7.00 a.m. from the school premises and will proceed up to ‘Odeon’ Mt. Lavinia, and back to school.
The walk will help collect much needed funds to commence construction of the school’s new building which will house not only a new computer lab but also create additional and spacious classrooms for the students, thus, enabling students to study in a comfortable environment.
Familian t-shirts and caps priced at Rs. 1,000 a set can be purchased at the school premises. The walk will have fun and entertainment from floats, banners, papare bands and the school bands joining in. The fun will continue for both young and old with short eats and drinks on sale at the premises, along with games, and music provided by a popular DJ.
All past pupils are invited to join the Walkathon.
