‘Enliven’: An event not to be missed!
View(s):The Interact Club of the British School in Colombo presents an evening of song, dance and drama entertainment, titled ‘Enliven’ teaming up with a special group of children.
This year the Interact Club is working with the Navodhya Special Children’s Foundation in Mount Lavinia. The foundation educates children with special needs, provides them with lunch, uniforms and above all educational support to help them thrive. Ms. Lakshmi Karunajeeva, is trained in the provision of special education and with her team of dedicated teachers, provides a group of 34 students with exceptional care and education. The cost of this is sizeable and they rely on the donation of kind hearted individuals to help them stay open.
The Interact Club of The British School in Colombo has been working with these students for some time. The students have visited them weekly, danced with them and done some paintings with them but above all, and much more valuably, have come to know them. They are privileged to take the stage with them for ‘Enliven’ on July 9 at 7 p.m. at the British School Auditorium.
