De Lanerolles say thank you to their fans
View(s):The De Lanerolle Brothers thanked fans and sponsors for their support over the year with a special mid-year performance at the Hilton Grand Ballroom last Sunday (July 5). The invitee-only event marked an exciting year of performances for the brothers, who have established for themselves a firm following of fans in Sri Lanka and overseas.
Singing old favourites such as ‘Love Changes Everything’, ‘Climb Every Mountain’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, the duo indulged fans with a request set as well, performing ‘Yesterday’, ‘Save the Last Dance’, ‘What a Wonderful World’ and ‘Unchained Melody’. The Hilton devised an elegant menu to complement the performance, serving guests a four-course dinner handpicked by the brothers.
The De Lanerolles also performed ‘Master Sir’ in memory of the late Nimal Mendis. They compered the show themselves and made a promise to their faithful fans- they will be moving into musical theatre with a special concert at the BMICH in September.
