Sebs 1983 batch celebrates 50 years

Those who graduated from St Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa in the year 1983 got together last Sunday to celebrate the batch anniversary and their birthdays. They celebrated their 50th birthdays (Most of them having been born in 1965). More than 100 guests, those from the batch and their families, took part in an event where they met and hobnobbed with friends for the first time since leaving school. They exchanged pleasantries and memories.
Prominent cricketers Priyalal Rodrigo, Heshan de Mel, and Ajith Cooray were among those who came and went, while Travis Fernando, Asiri Perera, and Dr. Sheryl Silva came all the way from Australia with their families to make the event a grand success. Most past teachers arrived as well. Dr. Sheryl thanked everyone in the end for making the coming together a reality. All members decided to have the next get-together in December 2016.
