Integrating businesses for intelligent operation
View(s):Anoop Sagoo, Senior Managing Director of Accenture responsible for Integrated Operations in the Asia Pacific region, delivering the keynote at one of the sessions of the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2015 on ‘Going Up the Value Chain – Export of Knowledge Services’ said that it’s important to integrate businesses for an intelligent operation.
According to Mr. Sagoo, who joined Accenture in 1994, worked extensively in the business process outsourcing (BPO) and shared service markets across all industry sectors globally, one of the great merits of the knowledge economy concept is that it transcends both high-tech manufacturing and services. Growth in IT and IT-enabled services from emerging countries has benefited greatly from technological improvements and a drastic reduction in trading costs and services trade liberalization.
Mr. Sagoo with specific expertise in the finance and accounting field said that Sri Lanka already offers global companies unique advantages as a location for delivery of sophisticated know knowledge services. Analysts say that with the end of the conflict and active investment and reforms by the government the industry will most likely exceed its own ambitious target to generate more than $1 billion in revenues by 2016.
