‘GetUp+Vote- Our Country, Our Time’ is an impartial workshop to be held on Monday for 300 such participants. Sessions on responsible voting preserving rights accorded by the constitution will take place from 1pm onwards at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

These sessions are not limited to the 300 however, live streaming of discussions on YouTube is available to all those at home in various parts of the country. GetUp+Vote is a campaign promoting good governance, through which the Circle for Democracy initiated by the children of the late former foreign minister Lakshman Kadirgamar is putting together this workshop. Ragi Kadirgamar, organizer of this event says the sessions are aimed at inspiring citizens to vote-in members of parliament who display qualities of honesty, accountability and humility. -VP
