Refhan to take part in Culinary Olympics in Germany

Hotelier Refhan N. Razeen, Executive General Manager of Heritance Ahungalle is one of the key members of the Golden Horseshoe Culinary Team that will take part in the IKA 2016 Culinary Olympics to be held in Erfurt, Germany. An Associate Team member he is the Team liaison for Golden Horseshoe Sri Lanka. The Golden Horseshoe Team, launched in Canada comprises dedicated and professional chefs whose mission is to uphold the traditions instituted by Auguste Escoffier in haute cuisine.

A graduate of the Hotel School, Razeen has worked in international hotel chains in India and the Middle East before taking over the reins at Heritance Ahungalle ten years ago. He has played a key role in the hotel’s outstanding showing in winning the coveted Culinary Championship for 2011, 2013 and 2015 at the Chefs Guild competitions. He is presently following a Diploma in Business and Organizational Psychology at the Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology affiliated to the Coventry University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Derby, UK.
