Two close wins propel Tzu Chi NS Hambantota to Under-15 Division III quarter-final
Two close wins against Aluthgama National School and St Joseph’s College Bandarawela propelled Tzu Chi National School Hambantota to the quarter-final round of the schools under 15 division III cricket tournament. In the pre-quarter-final game hosted by SJC Bandarawela, Tzu Chi NS overcame St Joseph’s College Bandarawela by 22 runs. Tzu Chi NS batting first was dismissed for 172 runs by K Kaushan and D Damishka who captured four wickets each. Inosh Shamalka 36 and Chamika Ranasinghe 32 were the main run scorers for Tzu Chi.
Pramith Chethiya captured three wickets while Mohamed Naflan, Thamoj Dhanushka and S Kodikara captured two wicket each to restrict the home team to 150 runs in the 43rd over. M Madhawa topped the SJC scorecard with a well compiled 79.

In the previous game played at Hambantota Tzu Chi National registered a nail biting five run win over Aluthgama National School to qualify for the pre quarter final round.
