Yasoda, Dilshan, Sangeeth put Moors SC in box seat
Yasoda Lanka along with Dilshan Ranasinghe and Sangeeth Cooray guided Moors SC to a strong position against SSC on day two helping the side post a formidable 337 for 5 at tea in the SLC Under-23 Division I cricket match at Braybrooke Place.

Moors SC taking first lease of the wicket was given a flying start of 150 runs by openers Dilshan and Sangeeth. Dilshan cracked a 67 ball knock of 93 inclusive of seven boundaries and eight sixes and Sangeeth made 71 with four boundaries and two sixes.
This was followed by a second-wicket partnership of 92 runs between Yasoda and Sangeeth. Yasoda made a quick-fire 113 runs in only 74 balls inclusive of nine boundaries and seven sixes.
Sandun Weerakkody’s knock of 142 in 107 balls with 15 boundaries and four sixes enabled NCC go into the tea break on the second day with a score of 259 for 6 against Navy SC in the match played at the NCC ground. Sandun was involved in two fruitful partnerships — first of 98 runs for the fourth wicket with Nimesha Gurusinghe and the other of 88 runs for the fifth wicket with Gihan Nimsara.
A five-wicket haul by Pulina Tharanga supported by Pramod Liyanagamage sent Panadura SC reeling to a score of 141 on day two in the match played at P. Sara Stadium. Sahan Arachchige, Ali Khan and Piyushan Thisara shared nine wickets between them helping Colts CC to bundle out Saracens SC for a low score of 129 in the match played at the Colts ground.

Ayana Siriwardena bagged seven wickets enabling Air Force SC to bowl out Negombo CC for 156 in the match played at Kadirana while in the match between CCC and Moratuwa SC which got off to late start saw CCC go into tea on 68 for 2.
There was no play on Friday, the first day, in all these matches due to bad weather.
