The Vision 2020 Secretariat, a social justice unit in the Health Ministry, is organising a series of events to raise funds to help conduct free cataract operations for the needy and to build a Mobile Eye Unit.

‘Colour of the Blind’, a musical show by blind youths will be held on October 4 at the Kularathna Hall of Ananda College. A ticket costs Rs. 5,500 which is the cost of a cataract lens package. So when you buy a ticket, you will be helping a poor blind person to see.
