Walking for future generations
The Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation Memory Walk 2015 will be on Saturday, September 26 at 8 a.m. Walk on behalf of the 147,000 persons living with Alzheimer’s disease in Sri Lanka and for the many carers and caregivers who share a role in the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s. They walk because the disease is increasing and they need to educate the public. They walk for future generations, so they may never know the devastation of Alzheimer’s.
The start line is at the Angsana Spa Garden, Cinnamon Grand. A fun day awaits. Seniors can hop into a luxury air conditioned bus sponsored by Walkers which slowly winds its way behind those who walk. Keells Foods lends their fare to the participants be it an ice cream to fight the heat, or a chilled beverage to quench your thirst. Pet Packaging supports the walk with chilled drinking water while Milo offers their energy drink at the end of the walk. Medi Calls together with their medical team will also be on hand. A raffle draw is held at the end of the walk!
Chip in with a donation or buy souvenirs such as T-shirts, caps and all-purpose cards to support the fight against this debilitating disease. Please call the hotline 2667080 to register or for further clarification.
