A teleplay filled with romance and suspense
‘Labendiye’, a newest teledrama a romantic story that will show the depth of parental love and vices in the modern world will join Rupavahini from tomorrow, October 12 and telecast every weekday from 9 pm onwards.
Directed by Iresh Bandara, story, dialogue and screenplay by Mahesh Rathsara Maddumarachchi, the producer is Viraj Ratnayake.
The cast includes Vishwa Kodikara, Samadhi Aruni Chaya, Kumara Thirimadura, Bandula Wijeweera, Surangi Ruwanmalee, Nilukshi Fernando, Chandika Nanayakkara, Vindhaya Rajagure Denuwan Senadhi and many more.
The story revolves around Upavansa, a hairdresser who visits home and his three daughters Dinithi, Lochana and Muthu. Upavansa is nicknamed as ‘Duwana Babar’ or Running Babar or ‘Malle Saloon’ or ‘Saloon in the bag’.
This is because that Upavansa is always on the move and he carries his tools in a bag wherever he goes.
Of his daughters; Dinithi works as a clerk at a foreign exchange office, Lochana at a beauty saloon and Muthi at a garment factory. The main aim of Upavansa is to give them in marriage to good and virtuous men.
This beautiful dream has already beenshattered with regard to two elder sisters as one is in love with a robber and the other to a man who lived in abroad and is already married to a foreign woman. But this is not to the knowledge of the girls or the father.
There is also a secret with regard to the youngest girl Muthu who is completely different from the other two. It is a secret that carries from her birth itself.
