Brandix Minuwangoda, MAS Casualline emerge Mercantile Volleyball champions
View(s):Brandix Intimate Apparel, Minuwangoda and MAS Casualline emerged champions in the Super League of Men and Women respectively at the 4th Mercantile Volleyball Championship 2015 concluded at the National Youth Services Centre Courts, Maharagama last Sunday.
Vocational Training Authority (VTA) Narahenpita men’s champions
Vocational Training Authority Narahenpita defeated MAS Active Leisureline 3-1 in the Men’s Championship while MAS Casualline, Mawathagama beat Linea Clothing, Kandy 3-0 in the Women’s Championship. In the Men’s and Women’s A Division Vogetex swept the board winning both titles defeating Courtaulds Clothing Lanka and MAS Stretchline Biyagama while Politex Garments and Maliban Biscuits winning the third spots respectively in both segments.
This year’s tournament will be memorable one for Ranga Fernando of Brandix Intimate Apparel Ltd. Minuwangoda for his crowning as the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
