Celebrating 66 years: Cora Abraham student exhibition
View(s):The Cora Abraham Art Classes continuing 66 years of the vision of founder Cora Abraham, a pioneer in Education-through-Art and Freedom of Expression, will present the creative work of students in different age-groups at an exhibition at the art school, 26 Boteju Road, Colombo 5 this weekend.
A walk through the exhibition will enable parents and visitors to see the gradual journey towards increasing confidence in the use of materials, tools and techniques and the young artists’ confidence in the expression of ideas and experiences.
Most of the work will be very individual experiences expressed using a variety of media, where the teacher has unobtrusively guided the students in the use of art materials to express their own particular experience.
The students range from 4 to 16 years of age.
