A ceremony was held to mark the international twinning programme organised by the 306B2 Lions Club -First Vice District Governor Lion Nimal Senadheera MJF and Lion Hemakumara Gunasekera and the Biyagama Lions Club at the Ekala Ramrich Hotel. 12 Lions Clubs from Sri Lanka and 12 from India participated in this twinning programme.

The Chief Guests at the event were State Minister for Defence Ruwan Wijewardene, 306B Lions District Governor Lion S.K. Ravindran MJF, and 317 C Lions District Governor Lion Shridhar Shenowa from India, and Lions International Past President Mahendra Amarasuriya MJF.

Dry rations were also donated to low income families in the Ja-ela and Kandana areas.
