View(s):Adele teased her fans when a new song was teased during a 30 second commercial break during the X-Factor show on 18th October.
Her voice rang out on a black background starting with the words “Hello, It’s me… Her last album ‘21’ came out in 2011 and last his song was ‘Skyfall’ in 2012.
Sam Smith won two Guinness World Records on 19th October for taking the first James Bond theme ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ from Spectre to No: 1 on the UK singles chart and also his album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ spending 69 consecutive on the UK top albums chart.
The previous record holder was Emeli Sande’s ‘Our Version Of Events’ with 63 weeks.
A biopic will bring Michael Jackson to the small screen. Warner Bros revealed last recently they had secured the rights to make a film on the final days of the iconic singer’s life which will eventually be released as a TV show.
It will cover the last 16 weeks of Michael Jackson’s which was leading up to the rehearsals of the This Is It tour in 2009. Jackson was to undertake a 50 show trip to London and died in June 2009 from cardiac arrest.
Taylor Swift has been named as the world’s highest paid musician with her daily income in 2015 estimated to be more than $ 1 million.
Income is generated from her songs, her current world tour and endorsements. Swift’s earning in total is said to be $317.8 million.
A live concert is being held to mark the 100 birth anniversary of Frank Sinatra on December 12. Current artist such as Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, John Legend and Usher are expected to perform.
The Sinatra 100 – An All Star Grammy Concert will be aired on CBS in the US on December 9.
As Justine Bieber continues to remain at the top of the UK Singles with his song ‘What Do You Mean?’ the 21 year old Canadian has a score of 5 non consecutive weeks on the UK No:1.
He is one week behind Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars ‘Uptown Funk’ 6 non consecutive week reign.
Another Canadian artist making his way to the top 10 is The Weekend with the song ‘The Hills’. The track is a hipster R&B track and is a follow up to ‘Can’t Feel My Face’.
‘The Hills’ has moved literally at snail pace to enter the UK top 10. It has taken 23 weeks since it debuted on the chart at 50 on 6th June. This week ‘The Hills’ took is second biggest leap from 23 to No: 5.
The big jumper on to the UK top 10 this week is Jamie Lawson’s ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’. The song leapt from 40 to No: 6. The song is a re-release because on his own, it was only a hit in Ireland back in 2011.
The Plymouth born Lawson is the first artist to be signed on to Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Records. Now with this very touching song back in the public domain it has bounced on the chart three weeks since it debuted at No: 60. ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’ is taken from Jamie’s self titled album.
