Maliban implements Sri Lanka’s First SAP S4 HANA Solution with JKH – SGIT
View(s):Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Ltd has partnered with John Keells Holdings’ (JKH) Strategic Group Information Technology (SGIT) team to implement SAPs’ latest release. SAP S4 HANA is the latest release of the SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution which offers an innovation cycle through simplification along with SAP Fiori User Experience (UX), to enhance end-user experience on platforms ranging from mobile phones to desktops, according to a JKH media release.
Speaking at the Project ‘Kickoff’ event , Ravi Jayawardena, CEO Sales and Marketing – Maliban Group. said, “The journey that we are starting today, I am pretty confident, will help Maliban and John Keells to conquer the business world in Sri Lanka. That is primarily because everybody will be observing how well we will be performing with the new technology and this will help facilitate the business to grow even further.”
SAP S4 HANA helps boost productivity and saves time by making it possible to be engaged in work from wherever you are. With this deployment, Maliban will become Sri Lanka’s first company to implement SAP S4HANA. By moving to SAP S4 HANA, Maliban as an organisation would be keeping itself up-to-date with the latest technology aiming at higher growth and improving its organisation’s standards.
Elaborating on Maliban being the first SAP S4 HANA implementation in the country, Krishan Balendra, President of Food and Beverage-Retail at JKH, said, “We have been living SAP for more than 10 years, so we are not coming in just as consultants, but as a team that has lived and breathed in the SAP environment and learned many lessons that we can share with Maliban.”The JKH release quoted Sajith Simon, Regional Director of SAP India , as saying, “Signing up Maliban has been very special to us. Maliban is the first S4 HANA customer in Sri Lanka and among the first few new customers to embark on this journey”.
