New product to tackle mosquitoes
View(s):Godreij launched a new Good Knight Fast Card known as the Magic Paper to dispel mosquitoes in double quick time.
This happens as soon as it is being lit and burns for a few minutes without the use of electricity, providing safety from mosquito attacks in most households for nearly four hours.
The new mosquito repellent is the first of its kind launched in the country that appeals to consumers as it is cheaper and easy to use against other market mosquito repellents available in the market, company officials said.
Head of SAARC and Global Exports , Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, Anirban Banarjee, making a presentation at the launch in Colombo last week, said that Godreij Magic Paper is the cheapest mosquito repellant available in the market today. He said as a large part of the population in countries do not use any mosquito repellents, a new effective solution was found with an attractive price tag that appeals to masses at large. “All one needs to do is to fold the Magic Paper and light for protection.”
He said that experiments have been conducted in India and in Indonesia to improve the quality of the Good Night Fast Card. “The product is found in Bangladesh and Pakistan as well and we are proud to say that over 25 per cent of our total business is being done overseas,” he said.
CEO of Delmege Forsyth and Company Ltd, Nuwan Wimalasena said that a strong registration process exists in Sri Lanka for products (like this) to enter the local market. It is like registering a pharmaceutical product in Sri Lanka. The Good Night Card has been manufactured according to international market practices and doesn’t emit any harmful substance, he said.
