Applications called for Short Play Competition
The organisers of the Colombo International Theatre Festival 2016 are calling for applications for short plays to be selected and staged along with the International plays during the Colombo International Theatre Festival in April 2016.
Sinhala, Tamil or English short plays which were staged during the past two years in Sri Lanka are eligible to be presented for the competition.
Those interested playwrights could send in the script of the play, synopsis and a DVD (if available) together with an application to reach the address appended below on or before November 30, 2015.
Selected plays would get the opportunity to perform along with the international plays during the festival and the best plays adjudged by a panel of International Theatre Scholars would be awarded.
All selected plays and their artistes would get the chance to share knowledge with the international artistes, attend workshops, win scholarships and to participate in the international theatre festivals in future.
