Sumanajothi come on top
View(s):Sumanajothi Primary School came out on top at the second Netsle IAAF Kids Athletics programme which was held at St Peter’s ground in Bambalapitiya. The first programme which was for young athletes from the Central Province was held in March this year.
The Western Province finals concluded at Bambalapitiya saw nearly 200 schools from 11 zones competing for the provincial titles with the participation of over 2000 students.
Sumanajothi Primary School Horana came out on top when they won three titles winning the grade four boys and girls and also the grade five girls age group. The Nestle IAAF Kids Athletics programme is conducted by the Ministry of Education with the support of the Athletics Association of Sri Lanka.
