‘WOODSTOCK COLOMBO 2015’
View(s):The first ever ‘Woodstock Colombo 2015’ concert will come alive on Sunday, 15th November at CR&FC Grounds starting from 1.00pm onwards.

Originally scheduled to take place in September, the concert was postponed due to adverse weather conditions and is due now to take place on Sunday.
After 46 years of original Woodstock Concert in the USA, the Colombo version of the mega concert will feature almost the same original lineup of songs sung by Sri Lankan stars.
Woodstock Colombo will be including the original Woodstock music festival line-up featuring Joe Cocker, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, The Who, Janis Joplin, Santana performed live by the cream of Sri Lankan talent including Rattlesnake, Flame, Mintaka led by Chris Dhason, Shafi, Rukshan Perera, Slipping Chairs with Dylan, Pradeep Ratnayake, Rajitha Rupasinghe (MISTY), Thilak Dias, Kamal Perea , Melantha Perera and many more.
The event aims to conserve the true value and nostalgia of 1969, uniting people in a message of peace, love, openness and cultural expression catering to the bygone era of the ‘Woodstock Generation’.

Colombo woodstock is a brain child of veteran Jerome Speldewinde and organised by JC Entertainments along with music business professional Rajitha Rupasinghe.
Proceedings from the concert will be given to two deserving charities – the Sunera Foundation that works towards enhancing the lives of differently abled young persons in Sri Lanka as well as towards the construction of well-equipped, secure and easily accessible classrooms for the Primary School of Chundikuli Girls’ School in Jaffna.
Tickets are priced Rs. 1500 and are available at the Etisalat Flagship Store in Colombo 3, WTC, CR and FC and JC Entertainments.
