A Sub Inspector on his way home with his family spotted five goats being taken for slaughter. On inquiries made he found out that the animals would be released for Rs 125,000.

SI Sisira Kumara of Welipenna and his wife decided to go to the nearest Pawn Broker and pawned the gold chain they had and secured the release of the animals. The goats were given to a needy family to be taken care of.
