Step into Shakespeare’s gardens
View(s):English art historian, curator, writer, broadcaster and landscape designer Sir Roy Strong will talk on ‘Shakespeare’s Gardens’ in the run-up to the Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2016.
The illustrated talk will be on Tuesday, November 24 at the Land Rover Showroom at No. 74, Flower Road, Colombo 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
At age 32, Sir Roy became the youngest director of the National Portrait Gallery. He was also the youngest director of the Victoria and Albert Museum aged 38.
Knighted in 1983, he also went on to be awarded The Royal Photographic Society’s President’s Medal and Honorary Fellowship in recognition of a sustained, significant contribution to the art of photography in 2003.
The talk hosted in conjunction with Land Rover and IDL will feature a discussion and Q & A session for a limited number of guests.
