Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation will present a series of programmes including everpopular cartoons, puppetry, thriller dramas and educational documentaries for children during the school holidays.


Produced by Athula Ransirilal with the assistance of Anura Dharmasena, Dharshana Panangala, P. Kularatne and Vajirakumari Vithanage, the programmes are conducted by popular cartoon characters ‘Dhosthara Hondahitha’, ‘Pissu Pusa’ and ‘Chaw Chaw’ introduced by legendary Titus Totawatte or Tie Uncle.
The programme will be aired from 7 am to 8.30 am from December 7 to January 1 (except Poya day), it will also include interviews with welknown artistes and professionals who will explain thoiw they spend their holidays.

Some of these personalities include singer Victor Ratnayake, Somaratne Dissanayake, Nanda Malani, Rodney Warnakula, Cybil Weththasinghe, Sarath Wijesruiya and Dr. Ruwan Ekanayake.
The other programmes included during the one and half hour segment include the popular ‘Robin Hood’ series, Iguru Pan Malli cartoon, interesting and educative documentaries on human evolution and other subjects.
It also telecasts an enduring and encouraging stories of people who have overcome physical weaknesses and reached great heights and programmes on maths presented in an interesting manner.
