Dewmini Weerasena of Musaeus College along with Royalist Helitha Hendavitharana and Royal Institute’s Fathmath Ali were crowned Most Outstanding Players in the Women’s and Men’s categories along with Royal Institute’s Fathmath Ali as the Up and Coming Player at the Western Province Ranking Table Tennis Championship 2015, organised and conducted by the Nugegoda Table Tennis Club which was concluded at the St. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium tables last weekend.

Dewmini Weerasena displayed top quality TT to win the Open Women’s Singles, Under 21 Girls Singles and runner-up in the Girls Under 18 Singles while Hendavitharana won the Open Men’s Singles, Under 18 Boys Singles and runner-up in the Boys Under 15 Doubles events respectively to be adjudged as Most Outstanding Players.

The player who stole the limelight at the competition was little Fathmath Ali showed glimps of being a star in the future by winning the winning the Under eight and Under ten Singles events was picked as the Up and Coming Player.
