“Having seen the plays directed by Indika, we knew his potential. So we wanted to help him to open a door that was closed for him,” said Yashodara who is also the daughter of legendary playwright Prof. Ediriweera Sarachchandra.

She narrated the long standing friendship her husband Kusumsiri Liyanaarachchi and Indika had and how the idea of the film developed from a script that was in Indika’s mind and discussed when the couple were escorting the director to their house in Australia from the airport.

“This film is a tribute to those who inspired us. It is inspiring to see the beauty in others. We love this story. We are in a position because of what we learnt and we had such good people to guide us,” Yashodhara said with gratitude.

“The children were really good. But it was a hard task and we needed lot of patience,” she said explaining the practical difficulties the production group faced.

“In almost all our theatrical productions we tried to promote family values. So we want to give the same experience to even in this film and we wanted our audience to see this film as a family”, she said
