F&B A Team champs at Galadari Cricket 6s
View(s):It was a an unforgettable day on 5th December 2015 at the Malay Grounds, as Galadari Hotel celebrated its annual Inter-Department 6-a-side Cricket Tournament 2015. All the main departments got together for the 6-a-side match which was filled with fun, excitement and laughter.
The champions was the Food and Beverage Department ‘A Team’ whilst the Accounts Department ‘A Team’ secured the runners-up position. In addition to this a 5 Overs Executive 6-a-side Exhibition Cricket Match and a 5 overs female 6-a-side Exhibition Cricket Match were also played further adding on spice to the day.
Other winners included Best Bowler – P.K.M.D. Heshan of Food and Beverage, Best Batsman -C.J. Jayasinghe of Accounts and Man of the Final and Man of the Series awards were both bagged by D.P.N.D. Dissanayake – Food and Beverage Department. Housekeeping won the Best Dressed Team. Keeping up the spirit of the game: being to win or lose it is all about enjoying the sport the title Best Loser was awarded to the Kitchen Stewarding Department. The evening ended with a couple dancing competition and much rejoicing.
