“Charandas” goes to Trincomalee
View(s):Janakaraliya play “Charandas” directed by Parakrama Niriella that won nine awards including the Best Drama in 2008 will be performed for the officers and other servicemen of the Sri Lanka Navy on December 23 at 10 am, 2 pm and 6.30 pm at the Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of the Naval Base at Trincomalee.
Janakaraliya artistes Rasaiah Loganandan, Sumudu Mallawarachchi, Nishantha Kularatne, Dewran Sri Livera, Selvaraj Leelawathi, Sarath Banagala, Amila Dinesh Kumara, Inoka Lankapura, Palitha Abeylal, Arosha Tharangani, Ronika Chamali, Ajantha Shanthakumara, Kenneth Rohana, Ruvini Dilanthi, Madira Udishani,Thilini Umesha, Kumeratian Mahindran, Alagaraj Yashoprasad, Vimukthi Kiriella, Nipun Dislshan, Saminda Sanjeeva Kumara, Manoj Priyankara Madushanka, Nissansala Kumudu Kumari comprise the cast of “Charandas”.
Ronika Chamali is the choreographer and the assistant director of the play while the music is by Sumudu Mallawarachchi and Thiyagaraa Sivanesan.
Theatre lighting is by Amila Dinesh Kumara and stage management is by Selvaraj Leelawathi and Sarath Banagala. This performance is organised by the Welfare Unit of the Navy.
