Prof. Daya Edirisinghe has been appointed Chairman, Official Languages Commission.

Prof. Edirisinghe studied at Vidyodaya University, the Foreign Languages Research Center of Seoul National University, Dongguk University in Seoul and received his D. Litt from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo.

Prof. Edirisinghe has written 25 books and published 60 research articles in Sinhala, English and Korean. He is currently President of the Sri Lanka Republic of Korea Association.
